Hello, I’m Brittany and I serve as the church’s receptionist. When you call or stop by the office I am the first person you speak with.  My job is basically to help you, the congregation, help the office run smoothly and help the staff with whatever they might need, which tends to keep my schedule full ;) 

My husband, Ben and I live right here in Traverse City where we love to spend time with friends and family, enjoy the outdoors and when we can, we love to  travel.  I spent three months on a mission to New Delhi, India were I was blessed to serve and minister to orphans, beggars, lepers and the impoverished people of that very desperate nation. I was encouraged and challenged by the pastors and ministers who continue to praise our Lord through devastating persecution. God has certainly put a call on the hearts of my husband and I for missions and specifically for India.

Hi, I'm Dave Anderson. It's my privilege to serve as Pastor of Caring Ministries and Assimilation.

I do my best to help everyone at Faith Church find places to connect with people, learn more about the many ministries of Faith Reformed Church, and discover ways where their gifts can be used in serving and caring for others in our church and in the community.

My wife, Sue, and I moved to Traverse City in 1980. We've been married 31 years and have a married son, Steve, who teaches at Traverse City Christian School and lives in town with his wife, Elizabeth. We also have a daughter, Katy, who lives in Illinois with her husband, Chad and their two children. We've been attending Faith Reformed since 1997 and were first involved here, through our kids, in the senior high youth ministry.

I enjoy sailing, fishing, old things with engines (cars, motorcycles, tractors, etc.) and building and repairing guitars. I also serve as Chaplain in Munson's Hospice program.

Faith Church is growing!  My responsibilities as Spiritual Formation/ Communications and the Faith Church at the Crossing Campus Pastor provide me with the opportunity to help facilitate growth by developing an off-campus venue for worship and ministry in the greater Grand Traverse area.  I also serve as a worship leader and assist in various responsibilities as they arise.  My deep passion for worship and bringing people into the presence of God through worship makes this ministry mission the most exciting opportunity I could imagine!

My ministry background includes years of service through Youth for Christ and churches in Michigan, Indiana and Wyoming.  Those years of ministry included opportunities to work with various music ministries, youth work and convention production, Christian education and leading mission teams to 3 foreign countries.

My wife, Elaine, works for Northwestern Bank here in Traverse City as a Senior Mortgage Loan Processor.  We have six grown children, living coast to coast, who have blessed us with eleven grandchildren.  We enjoy snow-shoeing, hiking, biking and any activities that get us near the beautiful lakes in northern Michigan or the awesome mountains of western Montana and Wyoming.

Greetings. My name is Randy Burgess and I am deeply honored to be on staff at Faith Church as the Director of Missions and Outreach. Following over 20 years in business, God has extended an opportunity to join Him full time in ministry and I couldn't be more excited.

My wife, Joan, and I have been married 31 years. She brings me great stature, first as a great wife and mother, second as a native of TC (a rare jewel) and thirdly as a daughter of this church. We have been blessed with 3 sons and they are part of our third generation at Faith Reformed Church.

Hi, my name is Jay De Bie and I oversee the custodial staff, grounds and buildings.  

I have been on staff at Faith Church for more than 22 years and have seen God's hand at work in a wide variety of very amazing ways.

I was born and raised in southern California.  My wife of 35 years, Colleen, and I moved here in 1978 to help manage cherry and apple orchards.  When that did not work out as planned, I started working at the church while seeking other opportunities.  And, as God would have it, I have been on staff ever since.

We have two daughters who live in the area, who have blessed us with five grandchildren.  Being grandparents has been a blast and has a way of keeping us young!

My name is Deb Fromholz.  I am privileged to work here a Faith Church as the Assistant Director of Children's Ministries.  My responsibilities include keeping the nursery clean and supplied with safe toys.  I also schedule the volunteers and am always looking for others to serve.  It is a blessing to be able to hold and play with the youngest members of our church family.

I also have the privilege to work closely with Karin Stevens in the Children’s Ministry Department by being her assistant.  I set up the classrooms every week, stock shelves, purchase supplies and try to keep things in order.

Hello, I'm Don Garvin.  I work in operations at Faith Church with my primary responsibilities being to clean and maintain the Main Church Building.  I have been a part of the Faith Church staff team since June of 2000.

Linda, my wife, and I are both long time residents of the Traverse City area.  We have been married for about 1-1/2 years.  This is the second marriage for both of us, having been a widow and widower.  Our children are all adults now, living on their own.

When I am not working here or at my other position with Meijer, I enjoy hunting, gardening, and seeking out "treasures" at garage sales.

Hi, I'm Sharon Geraghty.  I was recently hired to assist Karin and Deb in the Children's Ministry Department.  I will soon be setting up classrooms at the Crossings Campus as well as recruiting volunteers for that campus.  Please don't run when I approach you.

I have worked with children from infancy through 4th grade off and on for the past 10 years in various churches.  I have also volunteered in the public elementary and middle schools that my children have attended for about 10 years as well.  I enjoy witnessing children coming to faith in Christ as well as seeing them live out their faith.

My family moved to Traverse City in August of 2005 from South Florida.  My husband, Shawn, flies helicopters for the Coast Guard, and is approaching retirement.  We have two children, Kevin who is 15 and Samantha who is almost 11.

We are enjoying this area and are planning to make it our home.

Robin Groothuis is  Director of Worship Arts at Faith Reformed Church. Robin has studied and played the Piano since the age of 4 and has served in music ministry at churches in Los Angeles, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City.  Robin and her husband, Mike, along with their children, Helen, Greta and Sam moved to Traverse City in 2000.  The Groothuis' have been a part of the Faith Family since September of 2005.

Robin teaches piano lessons at her home, serves as choir and production accompanist at Woodland School and accompanies the TCAPS All-City Boys Choir.  "After 10 years of working at home while my children were very young, God's faithfulness and His gift to me in music have called me to this place.  I am truly blessed and thoroughly enjoy leading and learning music and worship together with my brothers and sisters here at Faith."

My name is Drew Hale and I am the Director of Music here at FRC. I am a lifelong musician with a deep love for music and a passion for worship.

My wife Emily and I and our 4 dogs moved here from El Paso, Texas is July of 2008. We feel like God has placed us here with a calling to make a difference in Traverse City and at Faith Church..well, at least Emily and I feel that way...I'm pretty sure my dogs feel they were called here to play in the Bay!

Aside from being a musician, I am also a food/coffee enthusiast, and a HARDCORE Nortre Dame football fan...GO IRISH!!! But don't let that stop you from talking to me   :)

Emily and I are honored to be a part of this church family, and we look forward to the great things that God has in store for all of us!!

Our Junior High Director - Paul Kolak is a son of the church and was exposed to the youth ministry here at Faith Church in his teen years. After completing college, he and his wife Diane moved back to Traverse City. Paul works as a child and family social worker in his free time. His passion to reach lost people and innate love for kids has made him a great asset to this team.

From Paul: So you’re a Junior High student, I bet you’ve got lots of questions. Now I’m not saying I have all the answers but I know Someone who does.

Jesus is the basis of our ministry and He can answer more of your questions every week as you get to know Him better. He wants a deeper relationship with you. If He spends every moment with you, why not include Him in more of your thoughts and activities? After all, who else wants to be with you that much (especially in that messy bedroom!).

My title is Communication Secretary. I work part time Tuesday through Friday. My responsibilities include keeping the website up-to-date. I also do most of the brochures and the newsletter.

 
Working with Dave Anderson as Caring Ministries Grief Support Team  involves keeping a database of those who have lost a loved one  We run the 13 week GriefShare program once a year, February - May.

My husband Dave and I moved here in November of 1995 from Holland, Michigan. We have three children and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In our spare time we love to garden. I just received my Master Gardener certificate.

Hi from the beach! As the Executive Pastor working along side of our Senior Pastor - Peter, my focus is on strategic planning to assure that our ministries align with our mission and vision, as well as overseeing staff. I have previously served on staff as Pastor of Adult Ministries and Spiritual Formation at NorthRidge Church in Plymouth Michigan, as well as serving as a Senior Pastor, and Youth and Family Pastor, in Indiana. I love working with our staff to grow as a team, helping them be more effective in leadership and developing ministries to help people find and follow Christ.

Linda and I have been married for 18 years and love talking with couples to strengthen their marriage. We have 3 awesome teen/pre-teen kids, all who are active in the Traverse City Public Schools. And hobbies ? - Well hanging with "the fam", and all their school activities is our number one hobby. When I have time, snow skiing, sailing, biking, are all areas I love to dabble in. In addition, I'd love to take anyone on with football on the Xbox 360!

College Ministry – Jacob’s Well Directors – Mischa Reed offers key leadership to the college genre on Monday evenings and at Jacob's Well. Her undeniable passion to develop authentic spiritual disciplines in herself and her peers is a gift to our community.

From Mischa: I am the director of Jacob’s Well, FRC’s late night coffee house. My job is to help connect the community, primarily college age and young adults, to a clean late night environment. It is the hope of Jacob’s Well to provide a safe place for the “orphans and widows” of Traverse City, as well as open up an alternative to going to the bar or a party for entertainment. Hi, Chris Regan here.  I serve on the Faith Staff Team as the person who harnesses technology (e.g. sound, lights, cameras, computer, DVD, VHS, projection) to enhance worship and other events.

Senior Pastor does not mean that I am the oldest person on the program staff (but I’m close). As Senior Pastor I am the Team Leader for the staff and our lay leadership. Vision, Mission, Alignment and Inspiration make up my responsibilities. Along with our Executive Pastor, I also serve as our staff supervisor.

I have previously served as Chaplain at Hope College, Executive Pastor at Christ Church of Oak Brook, Illinois, and Senior Pastor of Christ Community Church in Palos Heights, Illinois. I love the creative part of worship preparation as provided in the variety of ways the Holy Spirit works. I also love envisioning new and exciting ways to follow the lead of Jesus who came to “seek and save the lost”.

My wife of 35 years, Becky, is a school teacher, currently teaching kindergarten at Traverse City Christian Schools. We have three adult children. Ben, 31 lives in Ohio. Jesse and his wife Marta live in Chicago where Jesse is a teacher and Marta is a nurse. Libby lives with us in Traverse City and is a stylist at Allure. My hobbies include reading, golf and a new-found affection for boating.

Hi! My name is Karin Stevens and I am the Director of Children Ministry and Volunteer Development here at Faith Reformed Church. I have been in this position at Faith for over 10 years!

I love the Lord and desire to help kids know how much Jesus loves them. It is truly a blessing to be a part of this exciting ministry. My job responsibilities include overseeing our ministry to children ages infant – 5^th grade at all of our ministry sites.

I have wonderful, active kids who bring me great joy. My son Kyle (20) is in college at Western Michigan University and studying vocal music. Sarah (17) will be in her last year of high school and desires to be an elementary school teacher. Trevor (14) is an active teen and enjoys playing the saxophone, basketball and downhill skiing. Our favorite activities include camping, swimming and boating. I especially enjoy reading, being creative and spending time with my family.

Hi, I'm Todd Vipond. I have attended Faith Church since 1992 and have been on-staff since 1994. As the church’s music ministry has evolved, so has my job, to the place where I now direct the Faith Worship Choir. I also serve as an occasional worship leader, and have been known on occasion to pick up a bass guitar. 

As director of the Faith Worship Choir, it is my job—and joy—to lead a group of gifted volunteers who are called to help lead others in authentic, passionate worship. From September to May, and about twice a month, we rehearse and sing in weekend services. 

During the week, I teach elementary music for Traverse City Area Public Schools. I am a native of Traverse City, and hold degrees in music from Western Michigan University and The University of Tennessee. During my spare time, I love to spend time with my family skiing, camping, golfing or—my favorite—boating.

Pastor Les and his wife Lori have spent the last 25 years in full time youth ministry. This Canadian couple and their three girls (Jillian, Amy and Kelly) joined the staff of Faith Church in 1997. They continue to be passionate about investing in the lives of their girls, the student community of Traverse City, outreach, camping, motorcycles, used cars and Tim Horton’s.
