Hey there! I am Mischa Reed. I am the Director of Jacob's well, FRC's late night coffee house. My job is to help connect the community, primarily college age and young adults, to a clean late night environment. Jacobs Well seeks to provide a comfortable and thought provoking atmosphere. It facilitates an alternative to the bar for many young adults. Through discussion, creativity, and relationships our hope is to "...care for the fatherless and widows in their distress, refusing to let the world corrupt us." The comfort we seek to provide is both temporary and physical comfort ( ie: coffee, couches, and food), but also a long lasting and deeply rooted comfort that only God can provide. The end result of this will be a place of comfort and intrigue, whereby upon departure one finds themselves searching inward, seeking the truth no matter how strong their faith. There is plenty of room for more volunteers and help. If you are interested in getting involved, areas such as a cooking, cleaning, discussion leaders and prayer teams, or potentially volunteering to be abarista a Jacobs Well, could be considered. If you would like to know more information about Jacobs' Well, ways to get involved, or just want to have a cup of tea sometime after 8 pm, feel free to call me (231) 947-7082 ext. 35. Or email me at mischar@frchurch.org
