We are appreciative of your interest in the ministry of Faith Care Network (FCN). FCN is an interconnected group of ministry teams comprised of persons who are gifted and "called" by God to come alongside people who are in need of a helping hand on their journey toward wholeness.

If you find yourself challenged by illness, crisis, or a significant life transition, we would consider it a privilege to have an opportunity to serve you.

If God has given you a desire to be part of His work of bringing healing to His people during times of brokenness, we can provide opportunities for you to serve.

Additionally, our ordained pastoral staff as well as professional Christian counselors are also available to meet needs for spiritual guidance or counseling.

Birchwood Nursing Center Ministry - This team ministers to the residents and staff at Birchwood Nursing Home by conducting bimonthly worship services. There is also opportuity to minister to individuals during this time through conversation and prayer. This is a great opportunity to serve together as a family or small group. Bundles of Love - This team demonstrates the love of Christ by providing a "bundle of love."  These include infant clothing, blankets and other infant care items to families in our community with limited resources.  This team works with Reformed Church World Service to occasionally provide "bundles" to families in disaster areas.  They also make visits to families of Faith when a child is born or adopted. Team Leader: Julie Vanderhaagen 938-2046, vanbay@charter.net

Our Care Partner team reorganized in October and November of 2005. We are a group of men and women who want to reach out in Christian love and friendship to those in our community who are homebound for a variety of reasons.

Ruth Cilke, the ministry's team leader, shares, " The team sees their ministry as reaching out to both those who have been connected at Faith church and to those in the community who would welcome care.We express care in tangible ways through visits, phone calls, transportation, etc." Team Leader: Ruth Cilke 935-4406.

Grief Support - This team seeks to support persons in their journeys through grief by facilitating support groups, educating individuals and ministry teams about the grief process, offering one to one support, and sending notes of encouragement to those who are grieving. Team Leader: Joyce Looman 231-947-7082

Healing Prayer Ministry Team - Members of this team are willing to pray with individuals for physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. We pray in teams of two or three. We can arrange to come to you home or meet with you at church. Team members have received training through the School of Healing Prayer video teaching series produced by Christian Healing Ministries. Prayer Chain - This team prays for urgent needs that come up in the lives of individuals where there is a sense that many believers need to be united in prayer. To serve on this team you commit to praying for requests that are communicated by phone to you and then to passing the requests on. You submit a request by calling Nancy, by emailing tonyas@frchurch.org or by filling out a prayer card in our Friendship Folders during our worship times.

Prayer Partners - This team is availabe after worship services to pray with individuals requesting prayer. They also are intentional about praying for those who lead the worship service and for the gift of God's presence during our worship time. Team Leader: Bill Anderson 231-941-2429

Spiritual Encouragement Team - This team seeks to restore members who have been absent from worship to life-changing fellowship with God and with God's people. Members of this team provide encouragement through phone conversations and serve as liaisons to staff and others ministries within our church as needed. Tool Time - Those involved in this ministry serve those who are unable to do their own minor household repairs or yard maintenance. At times those with limited resources are helped by this team with local moves. They are also called to help maintain the building and grounds of the church campus. Young at Heart Luncheon -  This ministry is for our senior saints; men and women who are age 70+. Since many of these folks have served or still serve in a variety of ways, we honor them by hosting a special luncheon, typically on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Those who cannot attend can have their meal delivered to them. You may bless and be blessed by these dear people as you help prepare, serve and clean up after the meal.
